Vehicle Service Quality Compliance Control

The tender for "Vehicle Service Quality Compliance Control System Establishment" numbered 2023/137447 by IMM Public Transportation Services Directorate was won by Istanbul Transportation Inc., and within the scope of this tender, two Vehicle Service Quality Compliance Control (TAHKUK) stations were established in Alibeyköy and Kartal regions.

As of 2023, Istanbul Transportation provides compliance control and inspection services according to service quality standards on behalf of IMM Transportation Directorate, so that Istanbul residents can use Taxi, Minibus and Service vehicles more safely and comfortably. Two inspection stations with an indoor area of 550 m² including hangar and management office have been established and put into service on the European side (Alibeyköy) and Anatolian side (Kartal). 

Within the borders of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, these stations established to supervise transportation with quality vehicles in compliance with standards and criteria determined by the Transportation Coordination Directorate (UKOME) in the scope of taxi, minibus, shared taxi, school/tourism and other service transportation started inspections on October 2, 2023.

Within the scope of inspection, vehicles are controlled with items aimed at raising service quality, safety and passenger satisfaction criteria. Examples of these items include interior and exterior cleanliness inspections of vehicles, renewal of worn and uncomfortable seat cushions, control and renewal of Braille alphabet plates that must be found inside vehicles, control of heating and cooling systems of vehicles, inspection of tire usage suitable for seasonal conditions, control of security camera systems and similar procedures, and inspections are provided annually and on a complaint basis.
